We drove through the Park enjoying the tall Saguaro cactus. It was a dirt, winding road with lots of pot holes. The visitor center was very informative.Inside of these cactus they are made of wood, with a green covering. Woodpeckers make their nests in them. There were thousands of them in this park. I took a couple of pictures of the unigue ones. They take 200 years to grow tall. Each limb takes 40-60 years to grow.

I never knew it took cactus 200 years to mature or that each limb took 40 - 60 years to form. Thanks for the information. I learned something new today!
